Will I still get milk?
I had a breast reduction 3 years ago...Anyways the surgeon said I wouldnt be able to breast feed due to complications from surgery!! I had my baby on thursday...My boobs have def gotten bigger, they feel heavy....but no milk can leak out and they do not hurt....Will it go away on its own??

- They will go back down after a little while. its just normal reaction to having a baby, whether you can breast feed or not.
- Hormones cause breasts to enlarge, even after having breast surgery. The best way to help your milk dry up is to wear a bra day and night with breast pads on, try not to keep them directly under the shower water, and take Ibuprofen when you feel discomfort. Your breasts will go back to the way they were within a week. If you become sore, swollen with redness around your nipples, or start getting a fever call your OB right away, you could have an infection.
