Bandages should not be changed after breast reduction surgery?

My plastic surgeon told me that bandages should not be changed for 5 days after breast reduction surgery. Is that true? It is what happened in my case and I had to fight on a cellulitis infection (I went to another doctor who diagnosed the cellulitis, because my plastic surgeon would not listen to my complaints after surgery.)

1. Each plastic surgeon is different with the care of the patient. Your PS says don't change for five days. Mine had me change mine after 24 hours after surgery. It will be different with each PS. Though from my hearings, they have you change it after 24 hours. I'm glad to hear you went to another doctor. Did he happen to mention why he didn't want you to change your bandages for that length of time?
